Every year I participate in a local event where all of the artists take their easels and paint at different locations for 10 days, August Plein Air. This year it was in the spring, April, and the weather was quite different day to day. This particular day the paint out was in Defiance, Missouri. It is a very small town. A main street with a few businesses and that's about it. It was freezing cold that day, and rainy, so I decided stop in one of the shops in this small town. The shop sits right along the Katy Trail, a long beautiful trail that goes through several cities. The shop was a bicycle rental shop, for people who wanted to rent bikes for the day to ride on the trail.
I was attracted to the red light and the red bicycle. The red bike was a kid's, smaller than all of the neutral colored bikes.
The watercolor painting is on a 9"x12" paper, but comes with a gray mat that has an 8"x10" opening and is 11"x14". Ready to pop into an 11"x14" frame.
Painting is a one of a kind original with no reproductions.
Painting will ship with an acid free archival bag in a stay flat envelope through the United States Postal Service.
